End Draws Near

Everything is pretty much set up as it will be for the actual pool now. Standings updates (see sidebar) are running fairly seamlessly, so daily updates shouldn't be an issue.

The columns on the standings should be sortable regardless of what browser you're using. But I took a look at the page in IE a few minutes ago, and it looks like ass. For those of you not using Firefox (or something comparable) yet, now is as good a time as any (and better than later) to make the switch. I also highly recommend the Ad Block Plus extension for Firefox to clean up your browsing.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions for functions you'd like to see on the page.

NHL Playoff Pool 2008

The entry fee for this year's pool is $5; multiple entries will be accepted. The prizes will be 60% of the total entry money to 1st place, 30% to 2nd, and 10% to third. For long distance people, contact me for my PayPal information.

The regular season ends on April 6th, and the first playoff games are scheduled for April 9th. The final player selection sheet will be uploaded as soon as possible after the final game is completed, and playoff matchups are set. Entries will be accepted, either in person, or by e-mail, until puck drop of the first game on April 9th. Entry fees are expected as soon as possible; however will be accepted until April 16th. Daily point updates for your team will not be posted until money is received. After April 16th, players not paying will have to be disqualified.

Game Rules: Scoring for the game will be as follows:


SkatersGoal = 2 points
 Assist = 1 point
GoaltendersWin = 2 points
 Shutout = 2 additional points

The tiebreaker (if necessary) will be Game Winning Goals.

There will be no player trades at any point.
